As you know, we’re proud to be bringing 21 new high-quality homes to Croft Goch Road next year!
After announcing the plans last month, we headed straight into the community to meet people living around the development site and answer their questions.
Overall, the atmosphere at the drop-in was positive, and we were proud to share visuals so residents could get a real feel for what we are building in the area.

People also had questions and concerns, which we’re sharing back to keep you informed:
What are the site working hours in accordance with planning?
Construction site operations will be restricted to 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
What precautions and mitigations are P&P taking to alleviate the Rat issue?
P&P Builders are not aware of any known issues with Rats and have not identified any themselves. However, they have assured us that this will be passed to their Health and Safety manager for inclusion in their Construction Phase Plan with applicable risk assessments.
Who are the key contacts for the development?
Local residents can contact P&P Builders’ office on 01495792278 or info@pp-builders.co.uk. When the full site set-up is established, P&P will provide contact details for the full time site manager and this will be shared wider.
Who will be living in the homes?
Homes will be allocated closer to completion through the usual process. Bridgend County Borough Council will allocate the homes to people on Bridgend Council’s Housing register who are most in need. You can register here.
Local residents have raised concerns regarding HGV routes of travel and parking issues.
The construction method statement sets out a clear traffic management plan, which has been relayed to subcontractors and suppliers. Feedback from site suggests that this has not always been followed, therefore additional signage will be erected to visibly direct the site traffic.
Another common concern raised by residents was the issue of speeding down Croft Goch Road. Understanding these traffic pressures is vital for us as we move forward.
Bringing your ideas to life
We were encouraged by the number of people eager to live in the development when it is built. We spoke with several customers asking how to join the housing list or move into the area, and other residents used the drop-in as an opportunity to ask for advice on making changes to their existing homes.

We met a lovely customer who was passionate about maintaining the trees around the property she’s lived in for over 60 years, so she can continue to watch the birds. This customer also put forward some great street name ideas for the new development, which will be considered by Bridgend Council. In fact, lots of customers shared snippets about the history of the area, which will help ensure the name of the development reflects the community’s rich history.
We’re excited to have begun construction and we look forward to welcoming people into the new homes soon!
