We offer community living accommodation for customers with support needs who are over 50 years of age at our purpose-built sheltered and extra care accommodation.

All our schemes have communal facilities, including a residents’ lounge and gardens, and all schemes have a visiting Community Living Partner.

Our extra care scheme is based in Kenfig Hill, with views of Rest Bay and the surrounding countryside. Its restaurant serves a hot meal every day, and there are residents’ lounges, a library, laundry facilities, a guest bedroom facility, IT suite, as well as private well-maintained gardens, where we encourage everyone who lives there to lend a hand. There are also fun social activities. Applications to live at Llys Ton can be made via your via your social worker, or by contacting the scheme directly on 0300 123 2100 to get an application form.

We have other sheltered schemes throughout the Bridgend borough at Pyle, Porthcawl, Maesteg, Nant-y-moel, Ger-y-nant and Sarn. They also all have communal lounges, kitchens, and laundry facilities. The schemes are all in central locations at the heart of a community, so whether you prefer rolling countryside, being by the seaside or in a town, we have a scheme to suit you.

Frequently asked questions

Are pets allowed in Community Living accommodation?

The schemes have a general no pet policy. We have made exceptions where this has proven fundamental to someone’s wellbeing and the accommodation is suitable, for example, the property has a separate front door to avoid the pet moving through communal spaces.

The introduction of a pet to a scheme is always done in consultation with the tenants. Where we have a split in whether tenants would like pets or not in the building we have therapy pets that come by the schemes.
