Your feedback has shaped our new and improved cutting contract!
For years, multiple contractors have cut our grass between April – October. This year, we’re taking a fresh approach.
You said, we did
To design the contract, we asked customers at our #LoveYourStreet events exactly what they wanted. We also reviewed our complaints to find out what wasn’t working well, and we ran a poll on Facebook, which over 30 customers responded to. We heard you loud and clear – you want more for your money!
More than just a mow
We’re proud to share that our new contract involves a schedule of 9 cuts per estate during the growing season, with additional work all year round.
The summer programme:
- Path edging
- Leaf clearance
- Weed and moss removal
- Shrub and hedge maintenance
- Planting of bulbs, wildflowers and willow
- Fly-tipping removal
The winter programme:
We don’t want to neglect our grey spaces like carparks and garage sites, so Countrywide will use the cooler months to carry out:
- Hardstanding maintenance
- Tree maintenance
- Flytipping removal
- Sweeping of debris like smashed glass, twigs and leaves
- Cutbacks of anything encroaching
- Weed spraying
Using just one contractor means all estates will be taken care of to the same standard and we can provide feedback easily.

They’re also up against extreme heat this summer, so bear with them while they navigate these teething troubles and get your new cutting programme up and running.

What about our community living schemes?
Things will work slightly differently for our community living schemes. As you requested, we’ve brought grounds maintenance back in house for you, so our team will care for your gardens all year round.
With summer right around the corner, we’re excited to make the most of our outdoor spaces again!
