Each year the Welsh Government assesses us against set standards and gives us a judgement on how well we are meeting them.

Regulatory judgements are designed to provide registered social landlords (RSLs), their tenants, service users and other stakeholders with an understanding of how well they are performing in relation to the regulatory standards set by Welsh Ministers on Governance and Service Delivery, and Financial Viability.

In the latest judgement, we have been assessed ‘green’ for Governance and Service Delivery – confirming that we meet Welsh Government requirements; and ‘yellow’ for Financial Viability – confirming that we meet requirements with a need to continue managing material risks to maintain the position.

Group Chief Executive Joanne Oak said: “We are pleased with this regulatory judgement which is reflective of our own self-assessment and the strides we have made to improve service delivery, guided by customer insight and our strong governance arrangements.

“As a maturing organisation and now a group of companies, we are being ambitious in our approach to strengthening our financial position – thinking differently to build capacity and generate additional revenue to secure a strong footing for continued growth.

“This year we will deliver a significant programme of planned improvements in our homes to improve the lives and living conditions of our customers whilst investing in the fabric of our homes, with a focused priority on ensuring they are safe, warm and dry.

“Our planned capital programme includes the accelerated delivery of new homes, alongside a range of regeneration and placemaking schemes, which will directly support our ability to invest in our existing homes and communities.

“We welcome the Welsh Government’s recognition, confirming that we meet their regulatory expectations, which validates our clear path to building a stronger, more resilient organisation that puts our customers at the heart of our decision-making.

“I would like to thank them for their diligence and for their recommendations as we move forward, and extend my gratitude to our Board, Executive Team, colleagues and our customers for their support.”
