Each year we select a cause to be our Charity of the Year, which will benefit from colleague fundraising for the next twelve months.
We are delighted to announce that at this year’s Colleague Conference, colleagues voted for our fundraising efforts to go towards Y Bwthyn Newydd, a specialist palliative care service in the grounds of the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. Y Bwthyn Newydd provides people with cancer, their relatives and carers, with a warm, friendly and supportive environment.
The team at Y Bwthyn Newydd supports people with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs and helps patients and family members to plan for future needs, coordinating care and working through sometimes difficult discussions.
