We are developing a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy that will help us ensure we are creating an environment for our customers, colleagues and partners that gives everyone equal opportunities to thrive where they live and work.

We recognise that people from different backgrounds and experiences can bring valuable insights to this, which is why we are asking you to get involved in a discussion dedicated to hearing your views on EDI.

What is Equality, Diversity and Inclusion?

Here at Valleys to Coast, we recognise the importance of thriving communities. Thriving communities are diverse, fair and equal to all, where people are socially connected.

We strive to provide an environment for our customers, colleagues and partners that gives everyone equal opportunities to thrive where they live and work. Our aim is to create environments free from discrimination, harassment, victimisation and prejudice, recognising the importance of the protected characteristics; age, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity leave, disability, race including colour, nationality, ethnicity, religion or belief, and sex.

What are we doing to ensure Equality, Diversity and Inclusion?

We are developing a new EDI policy, and your views on this are important. EDI should be important to all of us. The goal is to advance equality of opportunity between groups of people of diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs to allow us all to be safe and happy. We acknowledge the positive impact and valuable insight people from different backgrounds and experiences can bring to this, and so it is vital that we have your support.

What can you do to help?

We want to hear from you. We are arranging a discussion group dedicated to hearing your views on how we can develop our EDI policy. If you don’t want to be involved with a group but would still like to share input then we still want to hear from you.

If you are interested in being involved then please get in touch with one of our Customer Engagement team.
