Last week, Persimmon West Wales handed over 20 high-quality homes located at Michaels Grove and Morgans Walk on their Parc Llanilid site.

A safe home is fundamental to our wellbeing and sense of security, so we’re proud to be providing these homes at social rent for people in need.

Homes fit for everyone

The package includes a mix of two-four bed houses to suit individuals, couples and families looking to start their next chapters in RCT.

Excitingly, this brings our number of homes at the site to a total of 40, furthering our commitment to provide affordable housing in Bridgend and beyond!

A flourishing community

In a prime location close to the M4, Parc Llanilid will be home to 1,700 properties when completed.

Long term plans for the site include a new primary school, village centre with leisure and retail facilities and active transport routes.

Rob Green, our Director of Growth and Partnerships, shared his thoughts on the milestone:

“Everyone deserves a safe and warm place to live, so we’re proud to be working with our partners at Persimmon, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, and the Welsh Government to deliver more high-quality, affordable homes for local people.

“We’re particularly excited to be acquiring a mix of two-four bed homes to meet local need and help people put down roots in RCT.”

Cllr Mark Norris, Cabinet Member for Planning at RCT Council, joined us on our site visit last week and shared our excitement about the homes:

He said “I’m always impressed by the close working between Persimmon and local housing associations like Valleys to Coast whenever I visit Parc Llanilid. I welcome any additions to our affordable housing stock and wish the new residents the best in their new homes.”
