Good news: we’ve been awarded £1.7 million through the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns programme to support our redevelopment of Wyndham House.
We’re moving offices in 2027 from Tremains Road to Wyndham House, in the heart of Bridgend. Transforming the building into a vibrant hub will play a vital part in the regeneration of the town, boosting the local economy by bringing our 300 colleagues into the high street each week.
Our bold plans include:
- New and improved commercial units to support local businesses
- Modern workspace and a comfy reception for our customers to visit us
- Eight high-quality town centre apartments
The redevelopment will also offer opportunities for skills, training and employment, as well as encourage active travel and sustainable placemaking.
We’re proud to be contributing to a stronger, safer and more welcoming town centre that supports wellbeing, growth and community life.

Bringing you along on the journey
Early engagement has already taken place with residents, customers and potential future occupants, offering feedback on the developing plans and priorities for the site.
We held an information event earlier this month to give people the opportunity to find out more about our plans, and further conversations will continue to ensure the final design reflects the community’s needs.
Chief Executive Jo Oak said: “We’re proud to be part of this partnership and to support Bridgend’s regeneration. This project is about creating positive change for the community – more activity, more opportunities and a town centre that works for everyone.”
Council Leader John Spanswick said: “This is fantastic news for Bridgend town centre as it will deliver significant amounts of new funding and fresh investment into one of our key local buildings.
“Bridgend County Borough Council fully supports this project. It represents an important part of the efforts that are being made to regenerate the town centre, and we will continue to work in close partnership with Valleys to Coast to ensure that it is a success.”
With the funding approved and conditions agreed, the project is set to progress into detailed design, planning and pre-construction in early 2026. As it develops, further updates and opportunities for community involvement will be shared.
